Shachihata's Nototo Stamps - which one is which?

Shachihata's Nototo Stamps - which one is which?

Japanese brand, Shachihata has a history of over 100 years of innovating and problem solving for stamps and ink products, starting with the first "Mannen" ink pads using glycerin to reduce drying out time. They developed the first pre-inked rubber stamps, Xstamper, an all-in-one solution to eliminate need for a separate ink pad. No wonder their stamp and ink products stand out for their quality and crisp, clean impressions on paper with vivid colours.

Our favourites are their Allemore Nototo series of products which are focused on creative tools for journals, planners and other crafts. Developed with premium oil-based pigment ink, the impressions dry quickly and hold up perfectly against water-based ink overlays. Most of these also come with a mini re-inker to refill once the images get faded.

Starting with the Nototo Roller stamps, these cute and compact stamps pack a punch and make page decoration instantaneous and incredibly fun. These self-inking tiny rollers easily print a seamless continuous repeating pattern, delivering a crisp 3mm tall border that elevates any page. Use these to create a frame, a divider or just some whimsy. An ultra-compact square designs fits into any pencil pouch, making it your ideal on the go crafting tool.

Next we have the Nototo Join series, a modular system that stacks 4 complementary rectangular self-inking stamps vertically into a single, compact tower. Again designed to be portable, its a perfect little tool that can live inside your journalling kit. Great to colour in or highlight with your favourite markers without any bleeding or smearing.

The Nototo 10 mini stamp sets are designed for planners, journaling, habit tracking, and organizing. These are 10 mini stamps that fit into a slim, pen-case friendly stick-shaped stamping tool. The stamps are tiny but packed with crisp detailed icons - just slide, click, and stamp! No need for a seperate ink pad. Get a ready theme based 10 pack or create your own with a blank frame stick and choose from 3 packs of mini stamps.

The Nototo Line series elevates your notebook organization and layout styling with these 100mm rectangular stamp, that is built specifically to bridge the exact width of common notebook pages. It offers a genius way to ground your header text, partition custom columns vertically or horizontally, or lay down crisp dashed lines and borders, in whimsical cute designs - cuddling shima-enagas or tree hugging koalas - what will you pick?

We also love the Nototo Dater stamps with a very satisfying old school spring mechanism that bring crisp, clean formatted date entries to your everyday planner logs. Just spin the smooth gears to choose your day, push down, and add an instant, aesthetically pleasing date marker anywhere on your page layout.

If you are tired of creating calendars in your journals and planners by hand, try this brilliant modular approach to creating a perpetual calendar - Shachihata Connecting calendar stamps - the ultimate tool for stationery minimalists, bullet journalers, and habit-tracking enthusiasts. Each day of the week and date number are separate stamps which inter lock together beautifully allowing you to recreate any layout you like. Start your week on a Monday or Sunday, construct narrow horizontal strips, build vertical columns, or skip the weekdays entirely to form a streamlined 1-to-31 numbering system. It's an exceptionally fast, uniform, and incredibly fun way to map out your monthly setups. Use your favourite ink colours to create these monthly layouts.

Lastly, Shachihata's Rotating multi-design decoration stamps pack 13 cohesive designs in one regular sized stamp unit (or 10-in-1 for the mini version). These are ideal for crafting, planners or journals. Available in adorable themes, these come in two sizes, the regular with 13 designs and mini version with 10 designs, both very handy and compact with different motifs on each. Simply rotate the dial to select one of the unique designs. Quick, clean and perfect for on-the-go crafting or everyday journaling. Use this with your choice of colour, simply prepare a separate stamp ink pad (recommended: Shachihata Iromoyo Series) and add a splash of colour to your pages.

This post will be incomplete if we talk about stamps but do not mention ink pads. Shachihata's Warabe mini ink pads are super portable and come in a range of vibrant colours inspired by Japanese culture. These cute little ink pads provide a fuss free stamping experience with crisp impressions that are water proof and smudge resistant. They also stack perfectly to allow easy storage. Check out the Shachihata Warabe ink pad collection here.
